The only iOS app to connect to cameras and printers to provide a professional quality photobooth app, for pros and budding entrepeneurs alike.

Overview

My Role

While at Parallel, I consulted directly with Tim Carr, the app developer. I was tasked to revamp the brand, and oversee both UX and UI changes to make the app more clear to navigate.

Problem

The app’s user experience in the settings was not intuitive and connecting a camera or printer was difficult. The brand was also in need of an update to reflect the new values of Wifibooth.

Goals

To unify the settings and make trial context clear, to allow users to see what they were actually getting for the tier they demo.

Additionally, the refreshed brand would better attract the broad audience Tim had at the time (though he has since taken the app to be more guided towards the top tiers).

User Data

Tim receives user feedback from reviews in the app store, by receiving support requests in his help forum, and by speaking to customers directly. After speaking with him, the themes he wanted to improve were quite clear.

Key Problem areas

Users struggle to sync their hardware devices to the app for a myriad of reasons. Tim fears that this is a factor that blocks pro customers from signing up.
